In a significant drug bust operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) successfully apprehended an upper-level drug suspect in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The operation led to the seizure of approximately ₱3.4 million worth of shabu.

The suspect, identified as Amenola Sadullah, a 40-year-old resident of Barangay Tubok, Malabang, Lanao del Sur, was taken into custody following a meticulously planned operation by PDEA agents.

This arrest comes just a day after another major operation in Cotabato City, where authorities seized ₱6.8 million worth of illegal drugs, highlighting the escalating efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region.

PDEA officials stated that Sadullah was a significant player in the regional drug trade, with connections that extended beyond Lanao del Sur. The operation was part of a broader initiative to dismantle drug networks operating within BARMM.

The suspect is currently detained and facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further links and potentially apprehend more individuals involved in the drug trade.

This consecutive success in drug enforcement underscores the PDEA’s commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and maintaining peace and security in BARMM and neighboring areas.
