Go Al Fresco At Pietro’s

by Jonny Barker, Staff Writer

“Buenas and welcome to Pietro’s” is the warm greeting you receive from Robert and co-owners Roland and Peter, as you approach this easy going restaurant, situated in Phase 2 of the Yubenco complex in Tetuan.  The relaxed atmosphere is helped by a soothing playlist, gently playing in the background, to enable easy conversation.  Being an outdoor establishment, with canvas gazebo’s offering ample protection should it rain, there are also moveable fans aplenty to help keep you cool.  Pietro’s offers a mix of traditional Filipino dishes such as sisig, crispy pata, beef bulalo and pancit, alongside spaghetti and meatballs, sloppy Joe burgers and my favourite, Hungarian sausage with rice (of course) and vegetables.  You can wash these down with a selection of sodas, beers (single or a bucket of 6) or maybe a milkshake, the avacado one is delicious.  Pietro’s enjoys the patronage of many regulars (myself included) and is open all afternoon and evening, six days a week, only closing on Mondays.  Why not give Pietro’s a try, with modest prices, you won’t have to break the bank.
See you there maybe!
