This is one of the best restaurants in Zamboanga. All the seafood dishes are excellent from clams, fish, shrimps, crabs, curacha etc. They are all very fresh. Never fishy taste. The sauce is heavenly. Pork, beef, soup & other dishes are tastefully & deliciously prepared. The food presentation is outstanding. The restaurant has a comfortable and classy ambiance, immaculately clean & sanitized. No fear of food or germ contamination.
The cutlery is spotlessly clean. You can even see your reflection. The staff are friendly, polite & courteous. The owners are super gracious and ensure you enjoy your meals. Whenever I go to Mindanao, I make a special trip to Zamboanga just to dine at Alavar’s. Before leaving I make sure I bring home pasalubong items – bagon gata, Alavar sauce, coconut jam, lokot lokot etc. When in Zamboanga, stopping at Alavars restaurant is a MUST. If yo are with friends, try one of the choice of dinner platters on the menu.
I highly recommend Alavar Seafood Restaurant.. it’s a dining experience you won’t regret.
