The second most wanted person in Northern Mindanao has been apprehended by AUTHORITIES during a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported on Friday, May 10, 2024. Brigadier General Bowenn, Police Director of the Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula Joey Masauding identified the person arrested as 45-year-old laborer Jimmy Balaba, who lives in Purok 3 in Silae village, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Masauding stated that at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, in Tuboran village, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur, Balaba was taken into custody during a law enforcement operation through the execution of an arrest warrant.
Balaba was handed over to the staff of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon for appropriate processing after being brought to the Mahayag Municipal Police Station for appropriate documentation.
Masauding praised the police officers from Police Regional Office (PRO)-Northern Mindanao for their efforts, which led to the successful apprehension of the second most wanted individual in PRO-Northern Mindanao in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.
“This accomplishment represents a noteworthy turning point in our ongoing efforts to maintain safety and security throughout the country, not just in our area,” he continued.
