Rotary Club and Pilar College: Helping save lives through bloodletting drive @ KCC Mall de Zamboanga

The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central recently sponsored a bloodletting activity in coordination with the Pilar College Philippine Red Cross Youth Club last January 18, 2025 from 8am to 2pm. This event aimed to collect blood donations from willing donors to help address the pressing need for blood supplies in local hospitals and medical facilities.
The bloodletting activity was held at KCC Mall de Zamboanga, making it easily accessible to potential donors. The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central and the Pilar College Philippine Red Cross Youth Club collaborated to organize the event, ensuring that all necessary preparations and precautions were taken to guarantee a safe and successful experience for all participants.
Volunteer medical professionals and trained staff from the Philippine Red Cross were on hand to oversee the blood donation process, providing guidance and support to donors throughout the procedure. Donors were first screened to ensure they met the eligibility criteria, and then their blood was collected and processed for later use in medical treatments.
The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central has a long history of community service and philanthropy, and this bloodletting activity is just one example of the club’s commitment to giving back to the community. Overall, the bloodletting activity sponsored by the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central in coordination with the Pilar College Philippine Red Cross Youth Club was a resounding success, with a total of more or less 261 bags of blood, highlighting the power of collaboration and community service in making a positive difference in the lives of others.
