On Wednesday in Zamboanga City, a man who was wanted for murder was apprehended while traveling on a passenger/RoRo vessel. Sakib Ganih is the subject of an outstanding warrant for his arrest for murder from Regional Trial Court Branch 4 in Parang, Sulu, according to a statement from the Philippine Coast Guard. The warrant is issued without bond.
Tuesday marked the start of the joint operation between the PCG and the Zamboanga City Police Office Station 11. The PCG received an intelligence report indicating that Ganih, an Omar, Sulu resident, had boarded a RoRothat left Jolo and traveled to Zamboanga City. The wanted person was taken into custody by joint law enforcement officials at approximately 7:25 a.m. It stated, “He will be taken to ZCPO Station 11 for the necessary actions.”
